Welcome to Blyc. By downloading, installing or using Blyc, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Blyc is an on-device photo search tool. It reads your system photo library and builds a local index so you can find photos and videos using text, voice, cities and media types, then favorite, share, add to albums or delete items.

2. Search results

• Results are computed on-device and may miss relevant photos or include irrelevant ones.
• City boundaries come from public vector map data, may contain simplification errors and are not suitable for surveying or legal determinations.
• Do not rely solely on search results for identity verification, legal or medical decisions.

3. Your content

• Rights to your photos and videos remain with you or their owners. Blyc acquires no rights to them.
• You initiate actions such as deleting or sharing through the system interfaces. Check the selected items before proceeding.
• You are responsible for the content you share through Blyc.

4. Third-party data and models

Blyc uses the following third-party data and models under their respective licenses:

• City names: GeoNames, CC BY 4.0. Names are normalized and stored on device.
• Administrative boundaries: Overture Maps and OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL. Boundaries are simplified for display.
• Search model: FG-CLIP 2, Apache-2.0.

5. Device requirements

Blyc requires iOS 17.1 or later. Voice search requires iOS 26 and a supported device and language. Initial setup downloads a model of about 754 MB. Ensure sufficient storage space.

6. Disclaimer

Blyc is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses resulting from use of, or inability to use, Blyc. Back up your photos regularly.

7. Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date on this page will be updated. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
